This lady I used to know sent me one of the loveliest communications I have received in a long time. She indicated, out of the blue, that I was the mentor she never had and someone she would go to ask for any type of advice, from careers to relationships to preparing for job interviews. And she gave me a moment of pause to say the least, through this. I know she touched me, and she also indicated it was mutual and she developed a strong bond of trust with me that went beyond an SD or sex buddy. Not that sex was bad…
I did take certain things away from the relationship with her, and still do. She showed a lot of respect and self esteem for her own self even at the face of adversity. I hope I don’t sound too old by saying I hope my own daughter shows some of that strength of character one day.
And at one time I fell for her, actually, and as usual, totally unplanned. When she gets married I will make sure I send in a wedding gift. Oh wait: what would I sign the gift as? Not my real name, not SD David obviously either. Maybe JP Morgan? LOL
